Welcome to my gallery!

My name is Eugenia Olesen. I live in Denmark.

Painting for me, is a meditational process to express and reflects my emotions, thoughts, moments and passion for colors and patterns. It is my personal vision of reality. I work primarily with acryl on canvas and love using bright contrast colors, which gives a very positive and optimistic mood.

People often describe my art as psychedelic, vivid, positive, abstract, bright, colorful, transcendent and happy. Each painting is very detail rich with line work that is easy to get lost in, pure joy for me. Usually I like to let the painting reveal itself during the creating process. I am still learning, which is never-ending process, and really hope to get better and better through the journey of painting.

Modern contemporary abstract art has no boundaries, and it gives me a possibility to playfully create visual surreal and narrative objects that do not exist in the real world. I like when people look at my paintings and trying to figure out what exactly they see.
